...if you need cash, you need to think of stuff that you can make a profit on by selling on.......

I can't really think of anything other than the obligatory (and essential) Cadbury's chocolate, walkers crisps and maybe a couple of pot noodles for good measure.
Most stuff that I used to bring back with me on visits home I now have found US alternatives for, admitedly mostly inferior alternatives lol, but when in Rome. (Cue the McZipster with, "there is nothing I would ever want sent from the UK, infact it would make me physically ill to receive anything from the UK" wink )
There are other food items I'd love like bangers, scotch eggs etc. but they wouldn't travel well and wouldn't pass customs.
I'm interested to see what other people would have sent over.
p.s I think over the years I've also been worn down by friends and rellies insisiting "you can't want that, you must be able to get that in the US" roll

Well I can see MMM and BoC are going to be in big trouble when Monster reads their posts lol Please refer to your "Rules of 50 quid care packages" hand manual - I believe you will find that people and food items banned by customs will not be allowed.
I think your teabags will be okay though MMM wink
p.s Just thought I'd best police this thread in Monsters absence - no need to thank me, I'm just here to help lol

I get a care package from UK every month or so from my sister and occasionally from my parents.
So far this year, I've got cuttings from the local Reading paper, taking the piss out of Reading which is always fun, Argyle programs from games my sister has been to, a car sticker, several t-shirts, the home and away socks for Argyle this season, a car mini-kit of the away kit and a pennant signed by the whole team!
I used to get food from my mum but I think she figures I can get it at the British store if I get desparate.

I am a collector of Lilliput Lane cottages so it would have to be something from their line along with some Crunchies and chocolate limes and fruit sherberts. P

Galaxy chocolate bars of every shape, size and variety, Vaseline Intensive Care spray anti-perspirant, Lancashire cheese, magazines for me and Lucy (she gets the Barbie one sent over by my mum every month), trifle sponges, Paxo stuffing.
Can get most other stuff....can even get decent pork bangers now thanks to last week's lunch at "Molly Darcy's" Irish pub.....waitress asked if we needed anything else and I said I'd like some uncooked sausage - voila! Came home with a 5lb box of the little darlings! D
