Haven't posted for a while and came accross this whilst browsing a Pagan web site wink

UNIVERSITY students have voted to ban the Bible because they believe it could offend non-Christians.
Up to 6,000 copies of the Gideon Bible could be taken out of rooms in the halls of residence at Stirling University.
A motion to have them removed was passed by 15-1 at a recent student council meeting. Seven members abstained.

To me it seems a bit extreme but I'm just a mild mannered bloke lol

Maybe they should just repeal the law forcing people to read the Bible but leave the Bible there just in case someone wants to read it. -?

8) People that think this crap up have to much time on their hands. Read what you want to read, believe what you want to believe and have done with it.

Funny really, when you go to the Middle East ( Saudie) you cannot take anything remotely christian. And here we are worried about upsetting people of different faiths.

Why don't people just NOT read the thing? -? If there was a copy of the Koran in there, or the Book of Mormon or some other religious text, I wouldn't be offended - just wouldn't read the fecking thing.

I suppose it all boils down to political correctness and the “Western” obsession with it.

“Normally” in any hotel room in Malaysia there is a “sign” on the ceiling pointing to Mecca and a copy of the quran in one of the draws. I know from experience that this offends some people?? It doesn’t offend me nor does it bother me.

It’s also quite funny on Malaysian airlines because when you view the map “air show” to see where you are and how much longer there is to go on the flight they always show the direction and how far it is to Mecca, this also offends some people, again it doesn’t offend or bother me and I don’t consider it as being force fed Islam but some people do.

Well now what are the students going to do when they can't afford TP? ;)
