Are you, like me, incredibly envious of our fellow brits back home that only have to put up with one month, rather than about fifteen months, of election season?

I have not been back for years during an election -- is it still just all party political broadcasts and little or no other television advertisments?

My parents just arrived from blighty today and I had this exact conversation with them!! My mum said "well we have been busy with funerals and weddings so Tony couldn't fit things in"!!

Perfect timing on Labours part - keep things swift so the gap in the polls is too long to be bridged.

We have the same short election season in Canada and it looks as though we shall be going to the polls within the next few months. Only had one last year, but with a minority Liberal government it could happen any day.
