Madness.
http//www.evolutionfairytale.com/
My wife and I have been pulling our hair out lately after meeting a bunch of people from Oklahoma and Kansas who were very angry that evolution was taught at all in skool AT ALL. Creationism is complete madness to me.
Please don't pull your hair out now, it will fall out later of it's own accord. The world is full of these folk. Smile, in that very British way, these folk are nuts, walk away whilst you can. Politely. lol
Edited to add, if you ever get into a position of power refuse to employ people who have learnt and believe this. Science and evolution come first. Faith is a private matter.
8) As a great man once said "what was there, before anything was there"
We can create colonies of bacteria in a petrie dish, so why could not something create something we call the galaxy. Why do we think we are the smartest things around?? We maybe nothing more than simple organism to some way advanced cultures or beings.
The fact is no one knows or will ever know. Then it comes down to faith.
Ask people "do you think there are are things visiting this planet or ghosts" most people would say, yes they do. Ask have you ever seen one, most say no. Have the sciences proved they, do or don't exist, no.
So why do people think they are real. Its a faith (in some ways).
I think kids should learn both, because I personally think its abit of both that really happened .
Evolution is Sciences explanation for the origin and diversity of life forms.
Creationism is the explanation of a religious group based on their beliefs and teachings.
Since it is not part of the role of the public education system to instruct on religious matters then creationism should not be taught.
Seems simple enough -?
