I heard on NPR that Prince Charles and Robert Mugabe ended up facing each other at Pope John Paul II's funeral and shook hands. It sounded barmy to me so I looked for a photo - and got a video clip! Excuse the link - it's on some wacky conservative site (altho Jeff Jarvis found them apparently and he's a very very sound guy).

probably a case of one black man looks like the rest symdrome or maybe he is just losing his marbles.
I can't get too excited about this. Even if Chuck actually knew whose hand he was shaking, it would not be that odd. Enemies far more sworn that these have shaken hands. Remember that shaking hands originates from the tradition of showing that you don't have your weapon at the ready . . . given that it sort of means "don't worry, I'm not actually trying to kill you right now" I don't think there is too much to be read into it.
