News service Newsworld International, which originates from the CBC in Toronto but broadcasts to the U.S and Central and South America is to shut down.

There were fears that it was at risk when it was bought a while back by a company whose shareholders include Al Gore.

The station will be rebranded for a youth-orientated market.

I know some of you watched it, particularly for the rebroadcast of ITN News. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

That sucks ( At least it still on whilst the UK election is going, so we can get the ITN and BBC perspective on things. Find the BBC international version a bit dry so a little lite entertainment from ITN is great alternative. P

Must hurry up the kids going through college, the thought of 7 mores yrs of US cable news is more than a sane person can bear.

Noooooooooooooooo, thats my favourite news channel. I dont just watch the ITV news but also the Japenese (so i can keep up with the Sumo wrestlers)the German news and also the mini documentaries they show.
That really does suck big time evil evil evil
Does anyone else get Link TV.
I watch a lot of documentaries on it. and half the time it turns out the documentary is Panorama called something else.
