So the UK election is May 5. So who's voting from overseas? if so or if you were there, who would/will you vote for this time?
I dont agree with the overseas voting if your not living there or plan to go back. Why inflict your views on the ones that have to live with them?

Kinda makes me itch to become citizen so I can vote where it really matters to me.

Yes. I thought that. But then I thought about voting for what's best for my parents, them being pensioners and all.

Surely several thousand Israelis can't be wrong voting in US elections?

Several thousand can't be wrong?? How the heck did Bush get in then o

lol
Guess they needed several thousand more foreigners voting to prevent that D

Could never become a citizen, I would be too embarrassed...

dont know who id support havnt cast a overseas vote for 18 years now .

I think its okay if you want to take the time to register to vote in the UK elections, especially if you have family there that might be adversly affected by the agenda of either party.
Never voted overseas. I don't know if was available back in the 60's and I'm so out of touch with UK politics now.

Personally I don't think you should vote if you are no longer a permenant resident.

We may be having another election this year in Canada if the Liberal minority government looses the next vote of confidence. Thats the only vote I'm interested in.

My thoughts exactly! Dubya put a stop to ideas of me getting dual citizenship.

Surely it's better to have a say in how the country is run by voting though? I don't like Dubyas administration either, but at least it's better to have a chance to vote for the other candidate.

so the leader of the Monster Raving Loony Party decreed that he would put up pensions 1000% percent.
as he said "I'm knocking on a bit now myself"

surely a vote for them is in the best interests of your folks no?

In the 40+ years Iv'e been on this side of the pond there have been 9 presidents. 5 Republican and 4 Democrat.

Bush will be gone in 3 years.

Become a US citizen and then you can help decide.
