Just caught this on Showtime tonight.

It's a British comedy/drama that started just as we left the UK starring Liza Tarbuck as Linda, a thirty-something woman who shambles from one disastrous relationship into another....usually just for the sex!!!!

It's something I identify with, I suppose.....in my previous life of course!

My brothers so called friends said I look like Liza Tarbuck o
I wished I had seen this, will look for it next week!
It was on BBC Canada a couple of years ago. It was funny, well-acted and produced. Like so many good British series it felt like real life and wasn't slick. The humour was earthy and oozed with subtlety from the people and the situations, rather than gags or one-liners.

However we found it a bit repetitive after a few weeks. She can't hold down a bloke and has lots of trouble with blokes seemed to be the constant premise. Still, like a lot of peoples' lives for sure.

We just saw Liza Tarbuck on the new series of French and Saunders being shown here (on Canada's Comedy Network). Unlike older series this is sort of a sit-com, with French and Saunders playing themselves trying to get a comedy series together at the BBC - a bit of life imitating art. Tarbuck plays their deeply unqualified BBC producer and again is very, very funny.
