These stat's indicating what I've been observing in my time here.

The US does seem to be facing a variety of economic, educational and social crisis. Though this article looks a little imbalanced the trend are clear. The underlying causes of these, I would argue, brought on by a combination of complacency, arrogance and greed amongst American business leaders and politicians.

I'm not blind to the problems facing other countries, UK included, but I can't imagine who in the US has the vision and clout to turn some of these trends around.
