I have been married to my husband for 5 years and I am seriously considering applying for American citizenship. I currently have a permanent resident green card.

While I was considering that thought, I became curious if he is able to apply for British citizenship through me, although we live in the US and always have throughout our marriage. Or is this something he could only do if we were to move back to work/live in England???

I believe he'd have to move there and live there with you for three years, similar to here.
