Hello there, this is a new experience for me, I have just joined this forum, in fact any forum for the first time. My wife and I moved here from the Forest of Dean, which is just west of Gloucester England, in November 2003. We are heading very quickly towards retirement so it is quite late in life to make such a huge step. However both of her children were born in the USA and that was basically the reason for moving here, to get the family together. My children are both still in England, as well as all my friends, so the wrench was not easy cry . I saw the chance of adventure at a rather late stage of my life and decided I would regret not taking this opportunity to sample life and the great American dream. So far the only real negatives are the cost of health insurance and the fact that my UK education and technical qualifications do not appear to count for much.
But I am working thro' a staff agency regular weekly hours and my wife spends her days with the grandchildren so all is quite well with the world.
My wife say's that I TALK TOO MUCH so it's time to shut up, nice talking to you all, have a great weekend. wink
