The weird thing is he's well within his rights to go to a butcher and then eat it. Not sure why people have (allegedly) given him any money at all.

What a nasty piece of work that person is. Yes he is quite within his rights to eat the rabbit, but why milk people for $50,000 for it? I think far better than sending the git any money, find out where he lives and spring the rabbit from it's captor.

It's not so much the killing and eating of a rabbit, it seems illegal in the sense that he's getting money out of people from it....can't be right.
This incident highlights a worrisome trend - an alarming rise in cyber-extortion, which affects millions of businesses every day. It's effective simply because it works. But is it legal? I don't believe so. I agree this person has the right to eat the bunny but IMO he is extorting money from people. Extortion is not his Inalienable Right. There are laws against extortion. I believe this excuse-of-a-human-being should be reported to the Internet Crime Complaint Center, run jointly by the FBI and the National White Collar Crime Center. :evil:
