Had the good fortune to catch the last quarter of San Antonio Spurs at Houston last night, as the Trailblazers were on TNT right after that game.
Amazing comeback from Houston, with McGrady scoring a bunch of 3 pointers in a row, to haul them from 10 points down with just a minute to go. I think he got about 13 points in 35 seconds which is unbelievable and I certainly couldn't believe what I saw when he shot a 3 pointer with 1.7 seconds to go, to win the game. Most of the crowd had gone home already so they missed a brilliant rally.
The best shot was somewhere in amongst those 3 pointers where McGrady was fouled as he jumped a 3 pointer and it went in anyway so he put down the free throw as well.
I don't care much for any team except the Blazers but it was a real pleasure to see such a brilliant performance. We had a mini-version of that against the Celtics where I celebrated much harder when Abdur-Raheem put a 3 pointer away in the last second for us but it was nothing like McGrady's showing.
