I was watching basketball last night (there must have been about 4 or so games on) and when I turned back to see how the Detroit Vs Pacers game was going all on hell had broke loose o

Incase you didnt know there was a foul on the court involving Artest (Indiana) and Wallace (Detroit) and there was a little bit of a scuffle involving both teams and just after as Artest was on the side of the court lying down (as you do at a game wink ) someone in the crowd threw a container full of pop or booze and etc and Artest got up and run into the crowd and started fighting with fans and then there was fights and scuffles involving the crowd and other Pacers players. It was utter pandemonium. Players got escorted out of the arena and fans were throwing stuff and it was just insane. I looked had a good look and I never see Manc in the crowd so thats a good thing I suppose wink

NBA has indefinitely suspended Artest, O'Neal, Jackson, and Wallace for their parts in last night's proceedings. It reminded me of the 'Kung-Fu-Cantona' incident a few years ago at Crystal Palace.

Here's link for the story, its a little more articulate than my generalised version wink

roll roll I guess Artest might need that new career as a Rap Artist that he was trying to get started lol
Indiana's chances of a finals appearance are now just about done. With Stephen Jackson and Jermaine O'Neal having lengthy suspensions. Ironically the main opposition for Detroit has been, kind of, suspended.
The Piston's in my humble opinion need to be fined and mandated to control their fans.

The fan who threw said beer needs to be banned from sporting arena's for 5 years.

If I were to attack a customer I would be fired and thrown in jail.
I see no reason why anyone else is treated differently.

Yes ive see and heard of staff being fired for WAY less than that ,sports *icons* have been spoilt for far to long .

I do believe there is legal action being considered and rightly so .

I don't know why everyone is getting excited about this. Its just lads being lads and it contributes to the spectacle/opiate of American professional sports.
I'd like to see Artest vs. Cantona on PPV.

Naaahhh. Cantona's got fat and out of shape since he stopped playing. How about Robbie Savage?
