My hubby is from Wales and still adjusting to the USA. Wondered if there are any fellow brits or especially welsh around these parts. We're in the extreme south of NJ. Thanks!
Hi there and welcome to Britnet D
I'm actually about 10 miles west from Atlantic City so not far from you, but not Welsh I'm afraid. I'm English and my husband is Scottish.
Are you down in Cape May? There is another poster on this site, Hippy Hippo who is down near you in Villas I think. Plus plenty of posters in North NJ.
)
No we're right by the Delaware Mem. Bridge. Someone around the corner has a british flag flying so Im tempted to knock on their door LOL.
Cape May is about an hour and a half from us. We go to Ocean City to the beach every summer a few times a week if possible so we're quite familiar with that area. I'm jealous and would Love to live by the beach. Got a house to sell hehe!!
Anyway, nice to meet you. Wales, Scotland and Britian...we're all brothers of the UK!!! O...Im an american tho~!
We're not in NJ, but PA is right next door! wink
And I love your cat, by the way! Too cute.. )
I thought my ears were burning! Could just be dinner tho...lol
Yes I am in Cape May, we go over the Del Mem Bridge at least once a month so that we can get cheap ciggies. Have you taken your hubby to Stoneys Pub yet? (It's on the Concord Pike near all the ciggie outlets - yes I have my priorities right!)
We are actually going today so a bit late to fix any plans but we could meet up and go for a pint of bitter and a ploughmans next time tho!
There are quite a few Brits in Cape May but they are all older widowed ladies so it seems who originally lived in Philly and had holiday homes here then moved permanently on retirement.
Ooooh I'm all excited now!

I'm in NJ, as are a few others but we choose to live in the metropolis of Northern NJ..... wink I'm about 15 mins from the border with NY.
Don't venture down your way very much to be honest, but if you're ever up here, let us know.
Stel.
Oh Stel I would swap this for metropolis any day! Find it hard living in the arsehole of nowhere having grown up in London. Hubby grew up in North Jersey and I know he misses it too, but we have established businesses here that would not travel (well they would but we would prob be bankrupt within a couple of months!)

I've been here 6 1/2 years and I'm still adjusting. Nowhere near NJ though, but come to Vegas and see me.
