I am considering a post in Nairobi, but am worried about the city's abysmal reputation for crime. I am particularly concerned as I will be moving with my two young children, aged 5 years and 8 months. Does anyone have any advice or comments? I'd love to hear from anyone who has moved to or lives in Nairobi with children. Thank you.

Hi Kanga! I'm in the US and can't help, I'm afraid, but I just wanted to say hi and welcome to Britnet )

Hopefully someone with experience of the area will be along with some advice soon.

Used To live in Kenya. Didnt live in nairobi but had friends there. they lived behined gates and didnt have to much problems.
