Well that would really make Gore look gracious! what's the matter poor guy being told by wife to toughen up
If they count the provisional votes and Kerry comes out on top, then he's won - without having to do anything because the Electoral College would be expected to vote for the winner in that state.
It would be a hell of a to-do and to quote Kevin Keegan, "I'd absolutely love it" but probably not much chance.
Still, gotta love the Freedom of Information Act. Hope the black ink runs out D

Not really, I just feel bad for those thousands and thousand of people who queued to vote and their votes were not counted because of "machine error"

As I said before, the Democratic areas of Ohio had fewer machines and long lines. The Republican areas were fast moving. In addition, the Democratic areas had people that just couldn't wait that long and went home. I've heard the same throughout the state.

"Some of us--hopefully most of us--are trying to understand and appreciate the effect our recent election will have on you, the citizens of the rest of the world. As our so-called leaders redouble their efforts to screw you over, please remember that some of us--hopefully most of us--are truly, truly sorry. And we'll say we're sorry, even on the behalf of the ones who aren't."

I heard that apparantly in some of the precincts, more people voted than were actually registered to vote....and those precincts went to Bush. Dunno how true this is. Either people voting twice or the machines were fishy....
I have no idea if it will change anything but as a believer in truth in politics, it's a worthwhile exercise.
Funny that I saw an expose on how easy it would be to manipulate results about 12 months ago, where they rejigged the tabulated results in an Excel spreadsheet so that the 'winner' became the 'loser'. From the results in doubt, it appears someone may have pulled off the same trick.
Anyway, I imagine the investigations will find out more and if all is ok, then we should just forget about it and get on with what we've got but if it is found that things were not as they should have been, I hope the House, Senate and Supreme Court have found a backbone by now.
