The continuing problems for voters got me thinking of how US elections are run/controlled.
In Canada our elections are under the control of Elections Canada.

Is there a similar body in the US and if not, perhaps there should be?
Registration here is simple, for the majority of people. We are asked to tick a box on our tax returns if we wish to be registered to vote. So long as you don't move you are register for your lifetime.
