Yeah, would encourage people to use more fuel efficient cars AND reduce the beaureaucratic overhead of administering the tax. Thats a good idea.

What have you got against truckers and bus riders?

Truckers etc still have to pay a road tax, you could infact make them exempt . Infact makes even more sence

I'm not so sure they don't do this already here in Ohio? Ameriscot? I know the car/registration tax here is a lot less than it is in GA, but the gas is more expensive.

I'd vote for that one....we could make fuel twice the price.....work on that budget deficit. Also it would force people to walk from one end of the strip mall to the other end of the strip mall. That way, they'd burn a few calories and take up less space on airline seats -?

I've seen people get in their car and drive right next door. I mean, what the h*#ls wrong with these people... :roll: :D

Then what happens when everybody buys mopeds to get off with paying less tax? Who will pay for the roads then? I say raise the price of gas anyway, use the extra income to fund public transport, and increase car tax for the same reasons.

Or of course we could just drill big fukoff holes in Alaska.

Mrs Goose was like that. We would spend half hour driving around the car park, just so she did not have to walk a couple of minutes lol. She has now changed her ways lol.
