More than 120 firearms officers in London are refusing to carry guns after two colleagues were suspended over a shooting, police representatives claim.
I remember this case very well, was back 1999, when some some guy was shot and killed, because he pointed a chair leg at armed officers. The objected was in a plastic bag at the time, the information they had was he had a gun and if he pointed the item at the Officer, I would say he had a right to firer.
Its a hard enough job as it is. Everyone can can be soooooooooo wise after the event. To me I regret that the guy died, but I support the Officers for doing what they done. After all they have to live with what they done and thats going to haunt them for a long time.
