lol Just thinking, everyone is making a big thing about all these Tonnes of High Explosives having vanished in Iraq, and thats on both sides of the political divide.

So what happens, we role out sat pictures of the site, showing trucks etc, saying "see they were moved, look, Trucks"

Are these the very same Sats that showed all these WMD's etc.

Really rests the case lol

Hoo to have faith in such technology lol
Shame that the imbedded journalists accompanying the first American Army unit to the base got such super-duper footage of the explosives still there, seals intact and all D

Talk about things coming back to bite you on the arse.

Did love the pics of the two trucks. Love the bit where the Pentagon guys show the trucks, let you do the math but the moment someone asked them specifically if the trucks moved the explosives, the Pentagon folks didn't want to say in that much detail.

I never knew that. Got a link i can check out?

Laughable how the GOP are trying to spin it to say 'Ha, you see, he DID have weapons...'. No doubt he had weapons, but these weren't WMD - they were conventional weapons. Bush even had the nerve of saying the invasion was necessary to keep the weapons 'out of the hands of terrorists' when the insurgants and terrorists were the ones to nick them! roll
Here's my take on it - yes it looks like the Iraqi government have vastly overstated how much went missing from Al Qaqaa. But whether or not they were removed before or after US troops arrived, they are still Bush's responsibility, right? One of the obvious risks of the Iraq war, and like Adeshell says, one of the arguments against the war was that if we invaded, these sorts of weapons might be shipped off to terrorist groups or other hostile places like Syria before we could get to them. Even if it was Saddam who had them removed in the weeks before the war, that's still one of the war's costs. I am a little perplexed as to why Russian troops were marching around Iraq cleaning up any blatant military links between them and Iraq tho. But still, if a major reason for the war was to prevent this sort of thing happening then it's a screw up. Still, I'm not impressed that CBS were conspiring to release this on Monday morning. That's just horrible ethically.

Just as bad as the Sinclair anti-Kerry Propagmentry! It is disgraceful how TV stations try to blatently try to influence the election.

Anyway, you would think the US would secure this weapons dump as one of the first things by either sending in some kind of paratrooper force or by bombing the h*ll out of the place. Its a disgrace and nodoubt these weapons are being used on US troops.

) Why oh why can't someone just say I screwed up and have done with it. I cannot get over one lie after another. I always thought that being responsible meant you took the bad with the goog.

Yes I saw on the BBC a US soldier wondering around looking at the explosives, and the powers that be say "haaaa but they are not the dangerous ones" . Now shit that makes me feel a whole lot better, not.

Don't they all go bang and kill yea. This is all turning out to be one great big screwup .

Bush Administration seems incapable of this. Anyone see Guiliani blaming the troops for this?!

lol Its just not Bush. Its all of them. Where are the days of Honor gonna. If your hand was found in the cookie jar, you said sorry and stood down. Now it does not seem to bother anyone that they have some type of argument to stay in power i.e I never had sex with that woman etc etc"

At least Nixon stood down when he got found out. This is not just something happening on this side of the Pond either. It happens in the UK to.

Sad really.
The Fox News says the American Army took them and used them to blow up other explosives.
The way I'm hearing this is

The weapons that were stolen, that we said were stolen before we got there, that the Russians helped ship to Syria, that were shown on tape as being there after our soldiers were there, that were really only 3 tons not 300, were really 200 tons that we destroyed, but seemed to have forgotten doing so until now.

Whew, I'm glad Fox cleared that up for me. On the other hand, if Kerry wins the elections, I can't wait to see the Fox wing-nuts rounded up and shot since they'll be criticising the war-time president which all sensible people know is the only way to deal with these traitorous scum.
Bushies making the water cloudy once again so everyone's confused and they can get off scott-free because there are rumours all over the place. roll
No doubt, if Kerry wins on Tuesday, another infamous Fox memo will go around and the station will switch back to how it was during the Clinton-era - a bastion of monitoring the misdeeds of the White House.

Doubt they will get to call the election this year wink
Where have the explosives gone?
To make car bombs.
