Upon reading someone saying they are the lone Democrat in Utah - who is your state probably voting for?
I live in New York state. Republicans might as well go on holiday November 2nd. Quite simply if every Republican voted Bush Kerry would still sweep the state laughing. In local areas Reps win all over the place - generally the more well-to-ddo places - but really, they might as well not bother. This isn't a diehard Dem place by all means but unless someone like Giuliani runs there is no way a Rep Sentaor is getting in.
Oh, and courtesy of Wonkette - whos says the South is Bush country?
As she says, "David Brooks must be shitting himself."
Oh, and there's this hilarious byline -

Connecticut votes Democrat, thank god its a shoe in, as it means we don't get to see any campaign ads, or candidates here!
Oregon is a toss up I believe. You have the educated Democrats in the I-5 corridor, then you have the redneck bumpkins that live of the other side of the mountains who probably will vote for a Republican or anyone who'd let them shoot a goat.
Given the level of feeling, I suspect the Dems to win.
Not that I give a toss either way.
New Jersey is Democrat, but I still get all the flippin adverts as our local channel area is Philadelphia roll
Million dollar question. Polls have Kerry about 1 or 2 points ahead. There's a candiate or vice-candidate or one of their wive's dropping by every day... o
Colorado is supposedly a swing state but I bet they return Bush in.
Michigan tends to vote for the loser, I mean what do you expect from a state whose only president was never elected to office. It was Gore last time. Probably close but me thinks Kerry will win by about 5%
I've seen a LOT more Bush signs the past week. I think they suddenly thought "S**t..........we could lose this!!" and then started to campaign.
Colorado is supposedly a swing state but I bet they return Bush in.
wasn't Kerry born in CO?

I'd say that is a very accurate take.
The great thing about Oregon is that they can add the votes up during the night so that it looks like the Republicans are winning and then right towards the end, the two most populous counties file their results (Multnomah which is basically all of Portland and Lane which is Eugene area) and turn the maps back to their more likely Democrat colour.
Still, it was quite close last time and had there been a state-wide recount in Florida, I'm sure Oregon would have a Republican-requested recount as well.
Maine is pretty much split, Republican north/Democrat south.
They held school election day and Kerry came out the winner.
Kerry is supposedly about 11% ahead, but Maine can also split it's electoral votes though it has never done so before.
California is democrat, personally I think they should vote for separation wink
In spite of the DC overflow, Virginia is very much a Southern state. So I think you can work it out.
Illinois is safe for the Democrats so John and George won't be visiting.
Indiana is Republican........ -?

Yes, on Fitzsimmons army base, but only because he was a military brat. I don't think anyone thinks of him as a 'local'.
