Great guy - amazing how he always seemed to know the music trends and never got left behind by them either.
Oh no. That's awful.

I posted a message here about a month ago on John Peel. Here's what I said then

"Been listening to him a lot on BBC Radio for the first time in 20 years. Can't believe he is still going and is still at the forefront of new music. To use one of my favorite Americanism (well, Yiddishisisms, I guess I should say), what a mensch."

Not knowing this thread existed I posted my thoughts about John on another thread in the TV and Radio site. I wept when I was told the news and have been feeling pretty shaky ever since. cry
Yeah I just read the news on the BBC website.
Thats a really sad day he was awesome
