I'm a Yankees fan and before the playoffs began I predicted a Red Sox Vs Cardinals World Series so far I was right in one aspect but I suppose I'll have to wait and see what happens tonight. I think (as a lot of Yankees fans and pundits alike) that at the start of the season the Yankees may have signed A-Rod but they didnt have the pitching and it really turned out to stifle them in the end. The Red Sox may have started out badly but Schilling and Lowe pitched really well and the top end of the Yankees batting order slumped.
Ive been watching the phone in show today on the YES network and it was more like a wake!! the Yankees fans have been phoning in calling for players like Kevin Brown, Jason Giambi and Flash Gordon to go!! The Red Sox fans who have been calling have been in cloud nine all day!!
I think the win last night was a real historic win, and to win the series in such a convincing way at the yankee stadium really rubbed it in too. The curse of the bambino is nearly been vanquished but theyve got to go all the way to completely exorcise the spector of Ruth.
I'll be honest, I respect what the Red Sox did, but it doesnt mean to say that Ive got to like them, I personally hope that the Red Sox gets stuffed by whoever plays them, but you know the old saying every Sox has it's day maybe it'll be the Red Sox turn, but then again maybe not wink

I've got to give it to them. They made history - but I knew that it was too good to be true when the Yankees went up 3 - nill. It was all downhill after Ortiz' homer in Game 4. :(
Still I got to chant "Who's your Daddy" as Pedro pitched in Game 2 (?) - albeit from the comfort of my own living room :D
I'm satisfied - and when the Astros (preferably - come back Clemens, all is forgiven :D) or Cardinals win the World Series I'll be ecstatic! :P

I'm not really a big baseball fan, but right now I'm "rooting" for the Red Sox. However, I realize that would be unacceptable in the Big Apple so I would have to defer to the Mets just by default of hating the Yankees.
