If you're looking for a really good cookbook that is also a damn good read then can I suggest Anthony Bourdain's new book Les Halles. I got it last night and have used every available minute today to flick thorugh it. If you like his tv specials you'll love this - he manages to be the arrogant wiseass he is even when telling you how to make Onion Soup Les Halles.

Good christmas present.

Bungle, you may be interested, or not, but Bourdain is set to be on Loose Ends, Radio 4, with Ned Sherrin, next weekend, when they broadcast from New York. It's on the listen again facility all week after the initial broadcast and sounds like it may be good. D
