First off, I'm amazed someone actually took the time to do this. This is a US map by county of what people call their drinks - be it soda, pop, coke, or whatever.

When I was in Louisiana last I was weirded-out by everyone calling their drinks Coke no matter what it was. So people would say "can I have a Pepper-Coke" or "lemonade-coke." Just odd.
I annoy my kids by saying.."oh I just want a fizzy drink please...." roll
My county (Linn, Oregon) is the 4th one up from the right most yellow county in California!
I like the term "fizzy drink" best but if I had to choose an American term, Pop would be best, Soda is just daft.

Oooh, that's much more fun than what do you call pop  . Our county (New Haven, Connecticut) is the third one to the right of the CT/NY state line, on the coast.
Come on everyone, tell us where your county is!
Ok, my county (Atlantic County) is the second one from the bottom, on the coast in NJ.
(And I call my drink 'Pop' D )
We're in Litchfield county, in the north west corner of Connecticut, although not in the town of Litchfield itself...that's dead posh and full of arty-farty types!
Debs x )
Mine is on the Texas coastline, half way up (or down oops )and its one of the counties that says "coke" wink
Mine is York county and at the bottom tip of Maine.
We are soda people here.
We actually live pretty close to the center of the county.

Did you ever see the dodgy Tops own brand pop?
Like Dr. Bob which is supposed to be like Dr. Pepper and Mountain Top which is supposed to be their version of Mountain Dew?
I know Wegman's own brand Vanilla Coke is done in the same colour scheme as Coca Cola's own vanilla coke!! :o
I had to look twice until I realised who made it (about 2 weeks later! )
See the pink county in the middle of Virginia? The one that's sandwiched between two other pink counties?
That's me that is. That's where I live.
