I just watched this movie last night. My God it's good. I figured Ben Kinglsey would be good - probably a contender for best actor i can think of - but they were all good. Particularly Shohreh Aghdashloo, who played Kingsley's wife. When she breaks down and says that if they're deported "They" will kill her children - jeez talk about bawling like a baby.
Go watch this movie!!!
I am not usually a fan of these sort of wronged person victime of circumstances type movies and for some reason the preview for this turned me off. But, I saw it and agree with you that its a keeper. Works on a lot of levels -- I simultaneous admired the Kingsley character for his perserverence and thought him foolish for his fatal pride.
Haven't seen it yet, it's on the netflix queue, but keeps getting moved down. Bit nervous about it. Seems quite intense from the clips I've seen and it has two of my fave actors. Will get to it, eventually. roll
