Fall/Autumn is in the air.

Salads are losing their appeal now the temperatures are going down. I'm starting to think of what to make for dinner that will warm the soul as well as the tummy.

I'm thinking of different kinds of soup and roast dinners.

What do you cook when the weather cools down?
Leek and Potato Soup
Carrot and Coriander Soup
Shepherds Pies
Chicken and Leek Pasta Bake

Beef Stew, and roast of all various cuts.
Martha Rose Shulman, Ready when you are. One dish meals that can be made over several days and are just plain old fashioned yummy and comforting. Particularly the tuscan white beans with sausage.

And if anyone knows where I can get Atora shredded suet, steak and oyster pudding. Well, you can't get kidneys here, so oysters are a good substitute.

Right back to the kitchen. my life consists of beading, cooking and uploading the new bead site. I need a drink lol lol lol
I usually start maing chili's, stews, and curries as the weather turns.
It's been quite nippy up this way this last few days. The trees are starting to turn and the pumpkins are everywhere.
Must be fall in New England. D

If I lived somewhere where it cooled down I could contribute something important to this thread. :P

I make Stovies, well my version, which is sausages, onion and potatoes cooked on the stove in thick gravy until everything turns the same shade of brown. Sounds gross, looks gross, tastes fantastic.

Basically good old British Bangers, usually pork but beef is fine too. You can also use Lorne sausage. Some people use chunks of lamb or corned beef to make stovies.
