We are living in the UK at the moment and my daughter is going to sponsor us when she has her US citizenship, which she can apply for at the end of this month. I need to know some things which are as follows-
Does anyone out there know of a good US immigration lawyer in the UK we can use when the time comes and what does the interview and medical involve? your replies would be much appreciated.
You dont need a lawyer.

She wont be able to petition for you until she gets her citizemship. She'll file an I-130 (Petition for Alien Relative). Once that is approved the US Consulate will send you forms that you return and you'll be scheduled for a medial and interview.

The medial, at least when I had it, and you can probably find out more by searching using Google or something, involves a chest x-ray, they;ll check your blood pressure and just ask a few questions. I believe the Xray is to check for TB.

They might do a blood test these days, not sure, it's 8 years since I did mine.

Anyway, try searching Britnet and Google groups for alt.visa.us and you'll also find additional, useful information on alt.visa.us.marriage-based (they often talk about the medial there).

Nigel
