Did anyone watch that tonight on Fox?
How horrible. I felt so bad for Jay, his family weren't even pleased to see him and his (I thought great) ideas for the money were rejected...
What a sad show.
Stel.
Yes Miss, I saw it Miss!!!!!
Jay was lovely, his family were either devoid of emotion or out of control. TBH, I would have sent HER on a cooking course - it may just have had a knock on effect with the kids' behaviour. roll
Justin's kids were delightful, his wife was a completely selfish, spoilt brat. I hope that they are made to comply with the conditions for spending the money as it will teach them (her) some valuable life lessons like not counting your chickens before they're hatched. I mean, fancy organising a big do for 180 people to celebrate your son's Bar Mitzvah on the flimsy assumption that Fox TV are going to actually let YOU decide where your $50,000 goes???? Do these people not watch telly at all???
Good voyeuristic telly, though!
Debs x )
I watched most of it, missed off the end where the families reacted to the news of how the money was spent. I felt soo bad for Jay from start to finish. He seemed like such a genuine nice guy. Even when he and Justin were meeting, you could tell that Justin was judging his lifestyle and had a superior attitude. Then the homecoming broke my heart. His wife didn't even get her lazy bum up off the sofa to welcome him home. I wanted to hug him myself!
Justin's wife was such a bitch - when she said "but a dishwasher's only $200" and Jay just had this sad little look on his face..
And taking him to Tavern On The Green and then saying (when he was in total awe) "it's not very nice here at all" and then making him choose the wine.... what a horrible woman.
It was amazing how nice her children were. Pierce was so lovely, and it was touching how well he got on with Jay and how much respect they had for eachother at the end.
But Jay's wife and kids.... ugh. I laughed every time she said "well, of course I want them to behave..." and then let them behave like little savages..!
I wish we could see the UK version of wife swap though...
