Reading the other thread about sc fi movies. brings me to one of my favourite genras .....Horror ......

Just got a dvd of a horror cult from the 30s Tod Brownings*freaks *

I love when they convert these oldies gut goodies to DVD and add all sorts of extras including cut scenes and directors commentary.

ANYone who hasnt seen this oddity from mgm and a film where the director *pushes the envelope* should take a peak at this masterpiece ,I believe that Netflix may have it .

Many more coming as im converting my collection from vhs to dvd.

The quality of print in these old b/w convertions is almost perfect better than anything you can find on vhs .
"Freaks"... now there's a movie that scared the poop out of me when I was a kid. I saw a bootleg of that when I was about 12 or 13 and it scared me so much I've never watched it since.

One of my favourite horror movies has to be the original "Hellraiser", that Pinhead guy was just pure evil.

but if you want a super-cheesy horror movie, it has to be "Bad Taste", Peter Jackson made that before he got respectable. You can also try "Funny Man" with Christopher Lee and an evil northern demon gnome. I managed to score a copy over here but it's been edited with a bread knife (
I just watched Peter Jackson's Cabin Fever. Naff. Unbelievably the main character is played by the best friend in Boys Meets World.
