I wrote a long description but it asked me to log in again and dumped my post so here's the short version instead.

Receipt date 8/23/2002
Approved 8/3/2004
Notified 8/12/2004
Got my new passport style pictures from Walgreens.
Up at 500 am
Into San Frqncisco at 600 on the dot.
Parked in a San Francisco city parking lot near the BCIS for $13.50 for up to 12 hours.
In the queue outside the BCIS at 605
Inside at 630
Called at 800. All my paperwork was stapled together, I handed over the documents they required including my EADs and APs.
Stamped at 810
Back in the car by 815.

So in the end the bargain $13.50 parking was $6/hour which wasn't so spectacularly good after all. But worth every penny.

Other people who have had their I-485s approved recently, in the last couple of months, tell me the cards currently take under a month to arrive.

Jackson Hetogs, and especially Ilana Drummond in their SF office, have done a good job. In the final package they sent me everything I needed except the EAD cards I had in my wallet, the APs from my safe and the pictures.

I can't believe it's over!
Nice.

Portland, Oregon is like that - queue for about 2 seconds to get in, queue again for the inquiry desk for about 25 minutes and then wait for up to an hour to be seen.

I've wasted a few dollars on all-day parking in the past too.

My card took a couple of months to arrive - that was back in January though so maybe they have speeded it up a bit now?

Time will tell, and so will I.
