hi,
just wondering if there is a best time of year to apply for an H1-B,
i have read that they have drastically reduced the amount they are going to hand out,

my wife is going to start applying for a job now, she is a bimedical scientist with lots of letters behind her name so hopefully she should not have too much of a problem,
i am also willing to pay the $1000 for the 15 day decision (or does this have to be done by the employer ???),

we want to get out as soon as possible,
thanks for any info,
neil
You can apply at anytime, but ISTR that the new quota comes out in October of each year (you can check to see if this is the right month), which means that you want to get your application in to hit processing with the fresh quota. Applying in later months may mean that all the visas have been taken up.
