Picked up a dvd at Best buy this weekend. Three early hitchcock movies, the Lady vanishes, The man who knew too much and another I can't remember, all on one DVD, for $4.99. Kept wondering why it was so cheap, the box was good, the DVD was good, the picture good. Wasn't until we'd finished the second movie and let the DVD go back to the opening sequence that we realised, Trillers, err! Good mistake mind, enjoyed the movies thoroughly.

Love Hitchcock. Which one was 'The Man Who Knew Too Much'. I've seen that one...

That would be "The Birds", right? *cringe*

It's the one that has the famous Albert hall scene, where an attempted assassination takes place. Begins on holiday, skiing and shooting, ends up in the Albert and then the East End with a huge shoot out at the temple of worshippers of the light. It's Peter Lorre's first English speaking role. he learnt the lines phonetically and his skunk stripe hairdo is really obvious.

I always liked Hitchcock films like North By Northwest, Rear Window, Psycho and Marnie, I always looked for his walk-on parts in a few of his films.
