Yesterday my wife and I switched on BBC Amercia and there, without any sort of warming, was a program that did NOT have Robson Green in it. I was appalled at this unheard of event. My poor wife, who had been happily assuming that she would once again see Robson's perky little Geordie face on our screen all evening, as a lawyer, a psychiatrist, an adulterous surgeon, or in any one of the many other roles he plays, was so upset that she had to have a cup of tea and an aspirn and a lie down. It wasn't even as though they let us see John Hannah as a consolation. I do feel that if BBC America is going to behave like this, we should be warned.

One day I will turn it on, and House Invaders won't be on..!! Funnily enough (something the BBC America folks haven't worked out ) shows that were crap in England, are still crap over here...

Or changing rooms
One day hence, a day I dream of, there will be a day on BBC America consisting of Red Dwarf, The Fast Show, Goodness Gracious Me, Bottom, Monty Python, League of Gentlemen and Little Britain.
There will be no home improvement shows of any kind, and we will in fact be able to watch a show where the audience is allowed to call in with donations. The larger the donation, the larger the object used to bludgeon the host of your choice. Or jam it somewhere very painful indeed.
And when that day comes, I will make myself bankrupt.
I'm actually very disappointed with the quality of the programming on BBC America - there's the odd little gem, but all of that home and garden improvement stuff?!?! And Robson Green - since when has he been well known in America?! (I still have nightmares of when he was on Top of the Pops dueting with the other one, Jerome Flyn!)

Blackadder, The Young Ones, Only Fools and Horses, Harry Enfield and Chums, Fry and Laurie, Doctor Who...
All the good shows they *could* have and they show the crap they do...

Hoddle and Waddle eh?!....<reminisce!>....sadly I almost remember the song - Diamond Lights or something!
We've never subbed to BBCA, but I'm getting the impression here it's Room 101 for Expats? The thing you fear most....?
I suspect my BBCA would be back-to-back Heartbeat.
