Who are the worst players at your footy club? And after that tell me who used to make the whole crowd moan every time they touched the ball.

Right now at Liverpool I think most people piss their pants at Igor Biscan. He isn't awful but scared to screw up. I remember his firts few games in midfield when he looked pretty darn good. After him it'd be Stephan Henchoz for me - possibly the luckiest defender in the world as he always just doesn't screw up totally. The man is lucky to have Hyppia next to him.
In the past Heskey used to make my blood boil but honestly he did make it easier for Owen to score. Mcmanaman's last few years were dire and you could hear it in the ground. Dean Saunders used to make the whole Kop want to die - he'd get the ball, hog it, lose it or hit corner flag. Still we had Piechnik, Tanner, Kvarme and a whole bunch of cack defenders. But for me it's a toss up between Paul Stewart (for waste of money) or Carter. Take that back - Graeme Souness for buying all these crap players.

Oy, lay off Deano. He was great for us. Perhaps it was the team around him that was crap for you...? :P B'stards nicked John Aldridge too.... :P .....and Ray Houghton
Have to agree Deano was great at Derby too, him & Paul Goddard were our best pairing in the last 20 years or summat
In the mid - mid to late eighties when I went to watch Man Utd, they had some real nob ends play for them. Ron Atkinson picked some right corkers
Colin Gibson
Mal Doneghey
Ralph Milne
Wayne Biggins
John Sivebeck (he was kinda ok)
Peter Davenport
Gary Birtles
all kack.
Stockport, when I went to see them we were famous for having the tallest player in the league Kevin Francis. The guy could score for fun from set pieces, but half of his goals were scored from his feet, so it wasn't just a case of hoof and hope he nods it in.
It was Dave Jones (now with Wolves) who in my opinion bought our kackiest player ever. Kieron Durkan, in a trade with Wrexham. Durkan was a winger whom couldn't dribble, couldn't run and daresay couldn't kick. What amazes me though is that he played in almost all the games in our 1996/7 promotion year. So in effect that year, we won promotion with only 10 players and a git on the field. It wasn't until I bought the season review and watched the goals that you realise that Durkan crossing to Brett Angel in the middle was a pretty good combination that accounted for a lot of our goals, however, fact remains, more of his crosses ended up in row 'z' rather than the end of Angel's bonce.
Towards the end of the season just before the trade deadline, Stockport acquired (I use the word acquired, as I do hope they did splash out any money on him) Ken Charlery from Peterborough. Charlery was a proven goalscorer in the lower divisions and I was genuinley excited to see him arrive at the club.
boy was he absolute shit. He went from prolific to horrific in the matter of days. He just couldn't fit in at all and after 3 months was let go to Barnet for nowt.
I guess that's what Liverpool fans felt about Deano - awesome for Derby (and loked like we were getting 2 awesome Derby boys too) but piss poor for us. And Ray Houghton is one of my heroes. Him and Jan Molby made me want to eat pies.
Just looked at Graeme Souness's transfers (inlucing signing trainees)
Mark Wright - great
Deano - not so great
Mark Walters - poo
Rob Jones - whatever happened to him?
Michael Thomas - poo
Istvan Kozma - crapola
Lee jones - ?
Robbie Fowler - from God to average in 3 years!
Dom Matteo - very decent
David James - Liverpool make their keeprs crap
Paul Stewart - poo
Torben Piechnik - crap
Stig Inge Bjornebye - alright
Nigel Clough - good player
Neil Ruddock - great
Julian Dicks - pants
And yet he sold Ray Houghton, Steve Staunton, Steve McMahon, and the hilarious Ronny Rosenthal. At least Roy Evans got Gerrard, David Thompson, Collymore (I don't care he was amazing to watch - just beautiful movement) Berger, Carragher, Owen, Murphy, Ince, Heggem (God I liked him) and Karl-Heinz Reidle. And I can't remember anyone being as disliked as Roy.
Only saw Collymore once, playing for Forest v Hereford, was so one footed it was untrue.
Derby's worst player without doubt Daryll Powell, and Jim Smith only made him captain....I blame the brandy. But there again I'd need to be drunk to manage Derby, look waht it did to Cloughie
Quote Souness
I've bought Dicks from West Ham
not just from West Ham mate
Anyone remember Jason Lee (Pineapple Head) who played for Forest?
He was absolute toss.
Mark Wright - great
Nicked him too...
Have to agree Deano was great at Derby too, him & Paul Goddard were our best pairing in the last 20 years or summat
Yeah, you lot got Deano with one of those 'Shady' Maxwell deals...
Anyone remember Billy "The Whale" Whitehurst? I'm thinking that Underpants might know him as he graced the halls of Sunderland for a while.
Trevor Aylott was another 'classic' striker we had.
Have to agree Deano was great at Derby too, him & Paul Goddard were our best pairing in the last 20 years or summat

Don't know what you could possibly mean by that

Yet Birtles was great for Forest? As soon as was transferred to Man Utd he was pants? That red shirt either makes or breaks a player!!

What about El hajh D-useless?
Diouf? Utter toss. Glad he's going to Malaga. Typical of Houllier to buy 3 bloody players from Senegal and for all of them to be very very bland. You can see where Houllier was coming from - Diouf was a player that everyone said had awesome potential in the World Cup, looked fast, clever, strong, and didn't score once. I think he was fantasising about having Diouf and Heskey up front and nary a goal to be scored all year.
