Last weekend I went shopping for CD's and picked up

Rancid Indestructible
The Ms Dynamite cd - I'd heard a lot about it so I just had to have it. And a right corker it is too.
The Streets A Grand Don't Come For Free
Dizzee Bone Boy In Da Corner
Kanye West College Dropout
The Essential Johnny Cash (2 disc set)
Eminem The Slim Shady LP
"24 Hour Party People" soundtrack.

None of them are really stinkers, but I was kind of disappointed in the new Streets cd, not as good as Original Pirate Material but still has a couple of stand-out tracks.
Lovage -music to make love to your old lady to
The Thievery corperation- richest man in Babylon
and a couple of those Putamayo compilations -Sahara Grooves and Nuervo latino

Nice!
Haven't bought a CD in years but they just put a new "90's Channel" on the Comcast cable so we generally have that on in the house.

In typical bloke fashion I have spent the day reorganising my CD and LP collection when I should have been cleaning. Of course while I was doing it I had to listen to some of the classics, old and new.

Neil Young - Sleeps with angels
Dizzee Rascal - Boy in Da Corner
Elvis Costello - Olivers Army
Tom Waits - Alice
Virgin's Chill Out Mix
This week I have mostly been playing in my car an Ibiza anthems comp from about 5 years ago (Darude, William Orbit...); Train -Drops of Jupiter; Linkin Park -Hybrid Theory; Ataris, -So Long Astoria.

Next intended purchase Seether -Disclaimer. Might not be playing that one in the car unless unaccompanied o ;)
Last CD I bought was Seals which was pretty crappy. One before was the Ataris which so was not. D
I hardly listen to music anymore, except the radio in the car. My wife had her wisdom teeth out last week so I did buy her the newer of the Norah Jones CDs.

Stroke that, shiny coat, stroking is the antidote. Genius.

Anyway...

Peter Gabriel - Up
Primus - The Brown Album
Helmet - Betty
Tomahawk - Mit Gas
Strokes - Room On Fire
Mogwai - My Father My King
Miles Davis - Sketches of Spain

Ministry of Sound.....The Annual.....not as good as they used to b or maybe I'm just getting old.

Like to have the stereo up in the car if I want and when there's a good tune on or to drown out the noise of the engine!, and as I'm now in the UK with the luxury of an 11 yr old car I have no air-con so it is windows down all the time - it's never loud enough to offend though.......
Only listen to NPR on Radio, much to everybody's chagrin here, they are all raving bush supporters and think that NPR is far too liberal. I responded by saying it is the only intelligent radio station I can find, maybe there is a connection.

Music I listen to on my ipod, recently...

u2 - All that you can't leave behind
Roy Orbison
Aretha Franklin
Stevie Wonder
Michael McDonald
