Now that most of the off season transfers have been made what do you think of your teams prospects for the coming season?
Charlton have had a lot of money to spend but haven't been able to pursued anybody to come to the Valley except Rommendahl of Denmark. In addition we have lost a couple of half decent defenders who have had to retire due to injury.
Last year's seventh place was largely based on the first half of the season when we had Scott Parker. After he left to warm up the Chelsea subs bench we were mostly pants. With the current team I can't see us doing as well this season but we will still be too good to struggle for survival. I predict us finishing 12th or 13th unless we manage to buy a good striker in which case a top eight finish could still be possible.
Well Spurs signed a few more nameless players, including the obligatory nameless swiss player......no sooner had we got rid of Gross and Vega then we get another.
Another lower mid-table display I think.
AAaaaah Stockport................ pre season misguided optimism.
Heart says scrape into playoffs.
Head says mid table obscurity with occasion away games at relegation dogfight.
Lose in the FA Cup second round away at Blythe Spartans. League cup first round out to Sheff United.
Sold ex-skipper Dave Challinor to Bury where he spent a good deal of time on loan last term.
Hopefully with Luke Beckett fit once more (Div 2 or is it League 1 top scorer 2 years ago)we can put the ball in the net a few more times.
No idea for Plymouth - hopefully (as the five year plan states) a year of consolidation in Division 1 (or The Championship or whatever it is now named) - somewhere around 10-15th would be nice.
We seem to have inherited most of the decent Scottish players (Hibernian players mostly) that followed their former manager and coach down south. I hear a couple are really good and one is a current Scottish international but that is arguably a good thing.
Anyway, I am looking forward to a few games where the newly relegated, former "giants" of the Premier League get a reet good stuffing down at Home Park - you should have heard the cries of pain when they saw they had to get on the coach and go down to Plymouth for one game roll

you'll finish 8th.
mark my words...........
put a bet on.
We'll see Plymouth get a real test on Wednesday when they have a friendly against Pompey.
As for my beloved team I have a feeling they'll be playing Plymouth at home and away next season provided Plymouth don't get promoted.
bottom three regards

Well Liverpool will probably do their usual and be fantastic in one game and crapola in the next. On paper this team should be as good as anyone, but they just aren't, so erm....that means they really aren't as good then right? Much as it pains me to say it but the way Liverpool have to play with Owen as the focus in the team just isn't good enough. Hopefully Cisse will be a great player for us. Heskey is gone (thankyou!!) and Benitez has loaned out Le Tallec who's pretty darn good. Cheyrou and Diao are on loan too. Hopefully Baros and Smicer will be as good for us as they are consistently for the Czech's. And Sinama-Pongolle has apparently been impressive - even though he's crap on Fifa 2004. I love Dudek but as an Englishman I can't bear to watch talent like Kirkland waste a career on the bench so get him on instead. Henchoz looked bad last year so maybe this new Spanish defender Josemi will be good. I really thought Hamann was going, I like him alot even with that German goal, but he looks like he's staying. Liverpool have this horrible problem of having a great bunch of midfielders (Gerrard, Murphy, Hamann, Kewell, Rise, Smicer) who don't play as well as they theoretically could together. Maybe a change would have been good. I was hoping Butt would come if Hamann went, but he's gone to Newcastle. Murphy was weak last year too, but when he's flying he's great. Carragher should have been nominated for player of the year - he was by far our best player - yes even better than Gerrard last year.
Anyway, I say 4th. Arsenal will win it. Chelsea 2nd. I'll be dull and say Newcastle 3rd - Kluivert just has to be that good.
Boston United just signed Gazza.
Grimsby and Lincoln cry
Spurs will maintain their usual position in the middle of the table, will probably get through to the semi-finals of the F.A Cup only to be knocked out 3-0 by Crystal Palace.
The team will then be sold to a waste disposal conglomarate from Bulgaria who will then try and sue the present owners for breach of contract when they find out that Pat Jennings and Martin Chivers have long since retired...
Theres only one team worth mentioning never mind the MINOR teams talked about here and we all know which one im talking about .

Leave Eastendlad and Spurs alone, he has a bad enough time in UT as it is without you starting on him

Yes sir! That was satisfying. But I can't look at Cisse's ugly head for more than a second at a time. Maybe that's why he scores alot of goals - all the defenders are busy laughing at his hair.

And everybody knows that his name should be pronounced as "sissy"
