Watched the original last night with Frank Sinatra. Allowing for the time that's passed and the apparent clunkyness in the portrayl of ideas, I really enjoyed it. Now I'm wondering what they're going to do in the new version.
Funny you should say that i have that movie in my * queue * at netflix and its near the top so it should arrive next week .
Just like most remakes it will proberly not be as good as the original and if they play it against the backdrop of the korean war it will seem outdated .
Apparently they've changed many things, it's the control aspect that seems most important. It's just dawned on me that Meryll Streep must be playing the part Murder she wrote lady played, the evil mom, I don't know.
Why do they remake and crucify so many films?
