British Expatriate Network

I was just wondering exactly what would happern (not that Im going to do it or anything?) if someone waiting for his/her work visa to come through who is married to an American, gets caught doing illegal work?. Would that person get deported? not allowed back into the USA for X amount of years, get fined?
