Now that is one real athlete, unlike some of these overpaid spoilt brats.
I still think it would be better if the competitors had to wear stripey shirts, berets and onions around their necks. The bikes should be more traditional as well - I suppose they could streamline the bells if necessary.

Yeah, ride a pennyfarthing and balance a stick on their heads for x hundred miles. And don't forget the ridiculous false mustache too.

Lance out front...well that's that then. No one else to get a look in. Boring.
You could will him to fall off or get a puncture - that would open it up a bit.

If he's carrying a bag of books, they could get caught in the spokes of his wheel and flip him over.

Who said that one of the most demanding sports should be popular with the lager louts. Many people get bored with 90 minutes of a game that ends in a draw. It's the spectators that decide if a sport is boring or not.

And the race is in it's early stages, anything good happen before the last day.

They should handicap it like they do in horse racing.

OR....make riders start ahead rather than just add the time up after each stage and let them start again with the rest where they can confortably cycle in the pack for a few days and have a rest. That way, if you finish with a 2 minute lead at the end of a stage, you start 2 minutes early the next day. That'll sort out the boys and the men lol

not neccesarily........... couple of things will go in Lance's favour, but It's not going to be easy.

He's not a bad mountain climber, but his main cohorte who guided him up the mountains for the past two years has gone to another team (Roberto Heras)
The Alpe D'Huez stage is a time trial. Which means everyone will have to get themselves up there on their own and not be paced. This means that the mountain climbers will make big gains.

Other than that, Iban Mayo being about 2 minutes back of Armstrong means his tour is effectively over..........
Ullrich hasn't been much of a threat either so far, but expect big things from him in the tour later on too. Ullrich could beat Armstrong in the final time trial before Paris too.

Joseba Belocki isn't racing this year, he broke his leg last year and hasn't fully recovered which is one main contender Armstrong doesn't need to worry about.

Change of tact slightly, but David Miller is a stupid asshole. Fancy admitting to taking EPO 2 weeks before the tour and 6 weeks before the Olympics................ what a nob.
