Skeptic is the accepted American spelling of the English word 'sceptic'. The Sceptic Society is a well established and reputable society dedicated to the debunking of psuedoscience, myth and trickery. If you are of a strong religous bent, or a strong believer in astrology, UFO's and psychics, then you will probably find a lot there that you may disagree with. It doesn't mean that it is all bullshit.
