Does anyone have internet shopping/delivery (groceries etc- like Sainsbury's or Waitrose for example) available in their area/state? Just curious......
Sheril.
Yes - Stop and Shop has Peapod.com which does deliveries. I have never used them but wish they had been available when I had newborn babies.
Thanks KG , I wondered if it had taken off there in the same way as here.
I remember Stop & Shop had just introduced their pre-ordering system when I lived there, you used a touch screen in the store and by the time you reached the deli counter, all your items were ready - but that was about it!

Tom Thumb (Randalls) used to have PeaPod, or something like that. I believe Albertsons has delivery in this area.

Internet food shopping seemed quite popular a few years ago as I saw vans all over the place. Reading this topic made me think that I haven't seen any lately.
My friend in the US confirmed she used it once & they would only apply special offers to the next order, made various mistakes and she gave up saying it was more time consuming to do it that way.
I am just wondering wny it took off so well over here, when we have such easy access to high street shopping /supermarkets compared to the US, where it seems your favourite stores all seem to be in different little plaza's x
Like KG said, she would have appreciated it when she had small babies, I certainly would have appreciated it when I didn't drive or when I just plain had something better to do.
Taking the theme one step further, would any of you pay someone to do it for you, rather than go yourself, if it was a reasonable & reliable service at your convenience, freeing you up to do something else?
