Anyone been cooking this? It's great stuff, especially for any of you out there on low carb diets. I'm not on the diet, I just love the taste.
One cauliflower steamed
2-3 Leeks steamed
3 tbs whipping cream
3 tbs butter
salt & pepper to taste
Pop it all in the processor!
Cauliflower soup then? roll
lol The first time I made it, it was a bit soupy, that's why I added more leeks to the recipe - it originally just called for one leek. I served it at a dinner party last week and everyone loved it.
Is this the Suzanne Sommers diet. My girlfriend is on that one and makes this instead of mashed potatoes. Tastes great and has the same consistency. Needs white pepper though!
I'm not sure who's original recipe it was. My SIL made it for us in Tucson and we really enjoyed it. Yes, white pepper would be good.
Yep.
I went low carb( Atkins) just after the new year and this has been one of my regular foods.
No leeks but with white pepper as suggested and a teaspoon chicken stock granules. Cover with grated cheese ( and sliced Jalepenos if your spicey)and pop it in the oven for 20 mins
I've not eaten rice pasta or potato and only low carb bread .
Lost nearly 40 pounds so far.
WOW! Good for you Buffalo!!
You can also add cream cheese (blocks) which helps thicken it up... for the low-carbers. I tried this when I was doing low-carb and it was excellent. Served it up to hubs and he wasn't sure what it was but really liked it. When I was in Scotland I also added Creme Fraiche.

Sounds like the sort of baby food I used to prepare for my daughter. Actually, some of it wasn't bad.
I went to a pizza place last week and they do deep fried cauliflower. Its not hard to do I suppose, its just dipped in batter and fried!! )
I might try it sometime?? P

That's not too bad, actually, as long as they don't overcook it. It used to be a speciality in TGI Friday's in Birmingham and was very nice. Along with the mushrooms and onions. How well does deep fried batter go down on low-carb diets? ;)

Ive tried the deep fried mushrooms back in Worcester, they were nice, but never cauliflower..... I'll have to look for deep fried cauliflower in the Atkins bible!!
