Cauliflower cheese was one of my favourite dishes to eat at this pub that was near to my work place. I've made it once, but it didn't taste anything like the one at the pub.....Does anyone have a good recipe?
I just use a bog-standard cheese sauce on steamed cauliflower.

Knob of butter, spoonful of flour, mustard powder - make a roux. Then add milk and cook gently until it simmers and thickens; then add decent cheese (eg Scottish cheddar).

You could steam the cauliflower over simmering milk to put more of the cauliflower flavour into the milk, but I never bother with this. My kids don't like it too strongly flavoured.
Add a little chopped rosemary to the cheese sauce. Wakes up the sauce and tastes great D
Just get someone to send you a packet of Colemans Cheese Sauce over and use that over your cauli! Add a bit more grated cheese over the top and pop under the broiler until golden and bubbling. Yummy!

"Follow the recipe carefully and you too will have doughnuts that look just like Fannies!" - Jonny Cradock.
lol Well, if they look anything like the doughnuts we had this weekend I can see why the Americans call theirs a fanny! lol
Pub Style? Boil the cauli for at least three hours.
Pub Style? Drink six beers. Anything tastes good after six beers.
Alright, alright....I'm saying "pub style" cos the best cauliflower n cheese I've ever 'ad was at the pub!!!
