I was in one of our almost local supermarket today picking up a newspaper and some beans.
I wandered through the international aisle and there at the end of an aisle where I almost missed them were real British Easter eggs. :P They had Aero, Bounty and Galaxy at $9.99 each.
As my kids like aero's I snagged a couple. I was so egg-cited I could hardly believe it.

For those of you in New England I found them in Shaw's supermarket. :D
Thanks for the tip! I have a Shaws coupon to use so will look this week!
Will have to find my nearest Shaws!

As far as I know we don't have Shaws down here Wendy, but I'm happy that you are so Eggcited :D
We don't have a Shaws either, but I know that Fairways will sell the British Easter Eggs so I will be going their this week D

I noticed in Stop and Shop that Hershey are now doing a Cadbury's Easter Egg roll Anyone fancy giving it a try because I certainly don't!
We had our eggs delivered in Feb D
I've noticed that you can get Cadbury's Creme Eggs in CVS that are made in UK, but theCadbury's Mini Eggs are made by Hershey. We will try and get a few months supply of Creme Eggs in before they disappear again.
I got this e-mail from Shaw's today.....

Dear Mrs. Sowerby

Thank you for visiting our web site and for your inquiry.

Our buying department advised that our Bristol, Vernon, New Britain,
Newington,
Hamden and Stratford Connecticut stores carry these eggs.

If I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Shaws in Westerly RI have them in stock - Bounty, Aero and Galaxy, I bought an Aero and a Galaxy just to try to encourage them  , but really they couldn't have chosen any more unattractive easter eggs to carry could they?

I was still very egg-cited to see them though, maybe if these sell well next year we might get some pretty ones.
I'm pigging out on a bag of Cadbury's mini eggs right now. I'll be as sick as a pig soon but I can't stop.......... -?
Well that will teach me to moan about the Easter eggs not being pretty enough, apparently Shaws is owned my Sainsburys who agreed on Friday to sell it to American supermarkets Albertsons (never heard of them but apparently they are huge here). So I guess next year I'll be wistfully remembering those great Easter egss Shaws used to carry. lol

Does anybody remember toffee-mallow eggs? The same size as Cadbury's cream eggs but with marshmallow and caramel in the middle. Does anybody know if they still make them?
