My Mum is interested in coming to live here, and my qustion is, what would be the quickest/easiest way to do this?
I have a greencard but am not a citizen, I don't think I can sponsor her.
My husband owns a business and has a position open for her, and would be willing to apply for a work visa, would that be the best way to go? How long are work visa's good for, also she will have my younger brother with her.
Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks smile
You may run into problems getting a work visa if there is already a US citizen qualified to do the job. I think citizenship would be the easiest way. Speak to an immigration lawyer.

Another thing to think about is the cost of health insurance if your mother is elderly - it can be quite expensive. You may want to call companies and get quotes or see if she can be added to an existing plan you have.
As Nigel suggested, I would check with a lawyer, but that said, I think it shouldn't be too difficult because she would come across as an immediate relative and thus would not be subject to quota's...

If you had a Sister/Brother whatever, then quota's apply (not as strict as someone who wants to just come here, but there are quota's nonetheless).

Now, the financial side (sponsorship/medical) being able to provide documented (financial) proof that *you* can support her so as she wouldn't be a burdon on the system, may be the kicker.
