Has anyone else been watching The Apprentice?
If so, what do you think to Omarosa getting the boot tonight (about time with all that whining about her head roll ) I thought Kwami (?sp) was a goner for sure, until Donald had a go at Omarosa too.
I wasn't sure about their artist choice either. Very odd work.
Great TV D
Love the show. I think as reality tv it has something more than other shows as there is an absolute goal to this show - you get a job! Bit like the model show that was on 6 months ago in that way.
Anyway, Amorosa isn't getting a job from ANYBODY after the way she behaved. Wackily, she is almost identical to the office-turd that I work with. Anyhoo, next to go is Katrina in my opinion. Add that Donald Trump did accidentally say on a talk-show that Troy is his man - affable, charming, will do the grunt work if needs be etc.
I like both Bill and Nick to be honest too. Altho Nick had become a bit cheesed off lately - he was sure to go last week and he knew it. I'm still trying to figure out what it is that Kwame has done. Trump even said he thought Kwame was crazy for quitting his job to this. Having said that he managed last night very well. No backbiting, very civilized.
I think Amarosa played her best game to date in the painting game - Heidi should have gone judging by the performance. But I don't mind the fact that Amarosa was fired - she was really getting under my skin with the whole plaster/concussion debacle. It was funny that Trump put her in her place about it!
I absoulutely agree with everything you said Bungle. I didn't think anything of Kwame until last night when he held himself very well and took the blame. I quite like him now.
Both me and the husband were saying last night that we reckon Katrina will be next. She's not really contributed anything.
I like Bill and I'd ultimately like him to win. He seems to know what he's doing and is pretty respectful to the others. I used to like Nick but he's got so arrogant and cocky I'm now going off him. I was so surprised he survived the week before. It will be interesting to see if Troy is the winner.
I agree Adeshell that Amorosa did the task much better than Heidi, and I reckon it was her faking the tears and bursting in on Donald et al that ultimately got her the boot. I'm so glad she's gone though. I have to say that I'm not that keen on Heidi though either.
On a side note, I read in a magazine that Bill and Amy are now dating.

Oooooo! I thought Nick had a thing for Amy...
Anyway, I am now addicted to the show too. Just love it to death. I think it was time for Omarosa to go. I'd had enough of that concussion nonsense but she contributed to her final farewell by barging back into Trump's office, in tears, before he had summoned them.
I quite like Bill but Nick has the bigger mouth and makes the most noise. Can't wait to see what happens next week.
ukm

I know! Do you think we'll get a jealous love triangle :o :D
Omarosa was always thinking she was SO much better than everyone else, and it was inevitable she would go.
I've read one spoiler that says Kwame wins the thing. I somehow doubt this though. I can see Amy/Nick/Bill/Troy. That is about it.
I heard she was dating Nick but then yesterday the Bill thing also. Lucky woman *LOL*

I hope so! - Bill's a bit of all right, though. Amy's a very lucky girl. :D

I've always disliked Trump intensely, based on nothing other than his greasy looks—there's jumping to conclusions for you!
After watching a couple of shows, I'm getting to quite like the man. He's smart, he's polished, and he seems pretty knowledgable and very fair.
Who'd a thunk it?

YOU'RE FIRED! <pointy hand gesture>
Omarosa was on The Tonight Show here is a transcript from someone at the website I post on
am going to attempt to transcribe this very delusioned woman's interview. First of all, after she was introduced, she immediately went into PAGEANT WALK mode and "worked it" as she sauntered out to greet Jay and then go sit down. Actually, she wore a dress that made her look very attractive and really showed off that runway walk.
(Jay mentioned she bickered with her colleagues on the show when he introduced her, and then they went to the "you're fired clip of Trump)
She sits down and immediately asks Tom about his "dumb ass sports show", he corrects her and tells her it is the "best damn sports show" He tells her when he talks to athletes on his show, they play through their pain.
Omarosa I am a former athlete too, I played Vball in college at central state U and I played Jr Olympic vball as well (shall we say name dropper here?)
Leno You got fired but you seem calm now
Omarosa Oh yeah, I thought I was gone week 3 jay and the fact that I am still sitting here week 9 was a shock to me
Leno What did it feel like because you looked pretty stunned when it happened.
(Now ready for this, hope you all are sitting down, what is this woman SMOKING???)
Omarosa I thought I was pretty calm - I knew it was coming.
Leno Oh you did? (giggle)
Omarosa Oh Yeah, I was the biggest target, the strongest player on the team and every women wanted me off.
Leno (giggling and flustered, can't ask a coherent question here so Tom Arnold then pipes up)
Tom Were you too smart? I started thinking you might be too smart because the smart people are too dangerous. You seemed like you were very smart (audience howls here)
Omarosa No, you know what (giggle), my grandmother says, "common sense ain't that common", and I had lots of common sense. If you're trying to sell a painting, don't buy something where there is some weird frog smoking opium, buy some flowers, people will buy it.
Leno Why do you think you were picked on, why do you think people didn't like you on this show.
Omarosa Simple, I was the biggest threat. The name of this game was to be the last man or woman standing and they could never make it to the end if I was still there because I was there to become the apprentice.
Leno So why didn't you know that and use that to your advantage rather than . . , You seem smart why not play it that way?
Omarosa Well I couldn't fly below the radar, I mean, my attitude, come on. There's no gain to be getting that way. I had to play it straight and that is what I did. And I think I did a good job and I think Mr. Trump respected that.
Leno OK, when you saw the show, do you think they edited it to make you look bitchy?
Omarosa Hmmm, (she laughs)
Leno Because that what (interrupted)
Omarosa What are your thoughts, you watched me, what did you think?
Leno Um, I thought some attitude adjustments could have (answer drowned out by audience howling) You know what I mean, because to me, I kind of agree with (Trump) you always have an excuse. I always find when you have a job and if anything goes wrong with this show, it is my fault.
Omarosa (she interrupts Jay) But in the board room, did you see my board rooms Jay? I stepped up on everything single thing I did. I took full responsibility and went toe to toe with Mr Trump on every decision I made. I never made an excuse.
Tom Were you afraid of Donald Trump?
Omarosa (she interrupts) No, not at all, come on, I worked for AL GORE AND BILL CLINTON (name dropper) , come on. (hand wags back and forth like trump was no big deal). I mean Trump is up there, but, these are some tough guys
Tom What about the blonde lady. That is what I am afraid of ( )
Omarosa Carolyn never looked me in my eyes. I think she was afraid of me. She never, I tried to talk to her and say "Carolyn, how are the golf courses going", and she'd like, "they're fine Omarosa, they're great" and I just never had that connection with her.
Tom And you never tried to do the kiss ass thing like that little guy with the big head that got out of there like the 2nd week.
Leno Sam? We had Sam the Kiss Ass guy on this show
Omarosa Sammy? Sammy is a good friend of mine and he lives about a half hour from my home. I love him, I think he is a great guy. No, I can't do the kiss, um I don't do that. I came there to show my executive skills and I think I did that.
Leno Now tell me about the plaster that falling on your head
Omarosa It was actually a chunk of cement, Jay, and I walked around with a concussion for a week, and even at 40% I was still functioning better than my co-workers. (Laughs again)
Leno Now how do you know it knocked out 60% of your brain.
Omarosa Even functioning at that level with a concussion and following what the doctors told me, I was still doing better than a lot of those guys. I mean, come on, I think I was a trooper, I cut my head up, I didn't whine or complain (edited to say, "WHAT???") and I was the only one who sold a painting that night.
Leno Well that is true.
Omarosa So give me some credit.
Leno But you were playing basketball with a concussion
(Now here is where she sets up her lawsuit )
Omarosa You know that was such beautiful editing, Mark Burnett is really good at what he does.
Leno So it happened before?
Omarosa You know, I had the concussion on the first day when we were standing in Mr. Trump's buildng without a hard hat on or protective gear. And then about 4 days after that after I had seen the doctor's and all that, I was out with the neighborhood kids playing ball (as a previous poster here noted, she was in the SAME CLOTHES, so she lies)
(of course she NEGLECTS that more time had passed and she played the concussion card after that when there was work to be done in the next challenge).
Leno Now you argued a lot with everybody
Omarosa Did I argue, or was I attacked?
Leno Well I am asking
Omarosa Did you see these fights? Do you remember some of them?
Leno I saw some of them. It's interesting, just talking to all different people from all walks of life from all races and from all religons
Omarosa All religons Jay? (giggles)
Leno (continues as if not interrupted) I am trying to cover every base, every conceivable reason, they thought you came across (then mimics a bitch cat fight)
(audience howls and claps)
Omarosa (game face back on) Jay,
Leno I am telling you what people told me and that's why I said, "Let's bring her on the show"
Omarosa Let me give them something, if they sit across from me in a board room and we have seal a deal, I am going to take them out. But if I see you on the street, I am a good person. I am truly a tough business woman and that is why I am truly at the top of my game (WHAT????) And I should not have to apologize for that, should I women? All the guys can be aggressive, why can't we?
Tom Look what happened to Martha Stuart (audience howls again)
Omarosa (politically correct here) I've got love for Martha Stuart and I hope everything is ok with her.
Leno I don't really buy that argument anymore - oh it's a woman if a man does it - because in this world, especially with a man like Donald Trump, the color is GREEN. Not gender, gender doesn't matter, it is all about . . .
Omarosa (interrupts) The guys lost the first 4 because they were weak, and you're taking me out because I am too strong, there is a double standard there.
Leno I never said you're too strong, I never said you're too strong, I never said that at all, it has nothing to do with too strong, it is how you come across (BINGO JAY, HOME RUN) Sometimes strength is like the little guy who knows Karate, you don't really know he's strong until you are in a fight with him.
Omarosa You know I had an attitude adjustment when my grandmother called me last night. She said "baby, we need to talk". Anytime your grandmother calls, . .
Leno Well how did she think you came across
Omarosa She thought that I need to be more ladylike and just be really really sweet. She said you attract more flies with honey than with vinegar. So I am listening to my grandmother and I am making some adjustments. I am not taking people out . .
Leno You make it sound like - oh women, don't show how smart you are. I don't think that is the case at all, I think you are giving your grandmother a little shot. You know what I am saying, you are making it sound like don't show men how smart you are or they won't marry you.
Omarosa I have been married for 4 years. My grandmother has a point here, I need to adjust how, I am taking a lot of lessons from this
Leno You probably have won battles but lost the war (ya think??)
Omarosa It is true (ya think???)
Tom About being married, can I ask you about that?
Omarosa Are you married?
Tom Yes I am
Leno Don't ask him about marriage (audience laughs)
Tom Let me ask you this, in the business world, it is one thing, but when you are at home, do you have a different personality for that, right?
Omarosa My husband is such a teddy bear, He is so shy, he can't believe I would even (didn't hear that)
Tom (interrupts with quip) He is probably scared to death
(audience howls)
Omarosa Oh man, I am really getting it today (she was laughing like a good sport, though)
Leno Are we picking on you now?
Omarosa No, I am not sensitive
Leno Don't be sensitive, I am just asking you if we are picking on you
Omarosa No, not at all, I am having a good time, (giggle) and if you were, I would take you out (laughs) just like I took the others out
Leno OK, back stage we had a long talk too and I found you very intelligent and interesting to talk to. We will have to have you back again
Omarosa (media whore) sure, are we all out of time now?
Leno Umm yeah. (commercial break)
So, Heidi's now gone. I must admit I thought it would be Kwama as he didn't do so well with the rickshaw, but I'm glad it was Heidi. She does get on my nervous. I think the idea to advertise and go back to people they've worked with before was a fantastic idea. I think Amy could win this whole thing.
It's only a matter of time till Katrina's gone though me thinks.
I have missed the last couple of episodes but I caught the last 5 minutes tonight and heard that older guy that works for Trump saying some complete nonsense about "if you explain your actions you are weakend (sp) as a leader" I know I didn't see the context in which this statement was made but I disagree strongly - the very worse bosses I have had have been the ones that couldn't give an explanation of why they made certain decsions or worse still decided that as demigods they were above giving any explanation!
Go on then tell me what the context was - am I wrong? Can't imagine that for a second lol lol
I think the old guy 'George' was a bit out of line.
What happened was Troy was told he had to bring either Heidi or Kwame into the boardroom with him and he paused for a while choosing. Then he gave reasons why he chose that person. George had a go at him because he thinks you should know and say instantly who was the weakest. He also said that you should never, as a leader, have to explain why as that makes you weaker. Troy said the he thought they would want a reason (and in his defence, they usually make them give one) so I think George was out of line there.
Hope that made a bit of sense -? D D
Thanks Nell - Brillo Pad explanation!
