Lord of the Rings, 11 times in fact. I was getting bored in the end. Please, no, not Lord of the Rings again I said, but it went on and on. However I was pleased to see Master and Commander get a couple of awards, I thought that was such a great film. But it was undoubtably New Zealand's night, so well done Peter Jackson. Now was that Armani or Debenhams that he was wearing? I suspect the latter. :D And was that a bird's nest in his wife's hair?

Great blubbery acceptance speeches from best actresses Charlize Theron and Rene Zellweger, but Sean Penn and the tall guy keep it together.
Billy Crystal did a great job. "People are moving to New Zealand to be thanked as we speak"..Great stuff.

All the ladies seemed to be wearing a colour variation of the same dress, but I liked Charlize Theron and Annie Lennox's frocks in particular. Didn't care for Rene Zellwegers meringuey thingy or Uma Thurmans sort of Kung foo get up.

Did anyone else stay up til the bitter "oh no not another award for The Lord of the Rings" end?

Fantastic stuff.

PS edited to add that I have nothing against the Lord of the Rings, heck I haven't even seen it, but I just wanted something else to win after a while to inject a bit of surprise/suspense into the evening, and indeed into me. :D
Saw bits of it, did see Mr Penn get his award. It was presented by Nicole Kidman who I thought looked great but, boy, she must be skinny (especially if its true that the camera adds at least 10lbs to you, is that true?)
I stayed up till the bitter end D

I was quite happy that Lord of the Rings won as they hadn't done so well on the other two. (That and it was the only one of the major films I'd actually seen ) )

I thought the dresses were nice but I agree they were all a bit the same, no major faux pas and I do like to see them looking silly! The only dress I didn't particularily like was Umas.

Shame it's the end of award seasons now (
I liked Will Ferrell with his '..the round up music actually has words...'. Still wasn't much to compete with LOTR this year.
Saw most of it. Would have liked Bill Murray to have won, but that was never going to happen with Sean Penn acting his willy wonka off in both Mystic River and 21 Grams this year.

Billy Crystal was good. I really can't think of anyon else who would do a good job - I mean Stephen Fry is far better when he does the BAFTA's but that's just my personal opinion.

As for "most stunning" award - that'd go to Holly Hunter for me. I've always found her to eminate sex but my word she looked good in that dress.

My wife enquired as to why all the dress designers wanted to show off as many nipples as possible.
Saw most of it . (nothing much else on ).

Charlize Theron was charming and looked stunning .

Bill Murrey nearly cried .

Renee Zellwegger is a dingbat (abeit a talented dingbat ) -)

Saun Penn was as always irritating .

hope the director of Lord of the Ring can buy some clothes that fit now he has some money -).

better than other years shorter and speaches keep to under 2 mins mostly , and NOBODY thanked god -).
