My name is Jo, and I would like to introduce myself. I was born a long time ago in Watford, Herts, and raised in Bushey. After marriage I lived in Bedfordshire, and then in Formby for two years, before sailing to Canada in 1967 on the Empress of Canada. I have lived in Ontario ever since; have five grown children; 4 grandchildren, with another on the way; and two dogs - a Jack Russell and a German Shepherd. After my husband passed away 6 years ago, I decided to retire as soon as I reached 60 years, and move to our cottage. People refer to it as "up north", but it isn't really - only 3 hours drive from Toronto. However, it is in the snow belt and winters are pretty arctic. This is my second winter and to avoid cabin fever, I treated myself to this lap top, with all the bells and whistles, for Christmas. I am still learning how to get along with this thing - have not yet figured out how to insert pictures etc., but master a little bit more each day. My interests are too varied to list, but I have become nostalgic since retirement, and was delighted to discover this forum (courtesy of Yahoo search). I look forward to joining in.
